Wow, the years seem to just fly by lately! I guess it's a good thing these days and months have been filled with joy and laughter (most of the time). I took my special day off work so that I could treat myself to a full-on spa day! It was pretty great and really needed.

I think we all get so caught up in our lives and forget that the relationship with yourself is just as important and fulfilling as the other ones you have daily. Remember to take care of yourself and don't feel guilty about it!

Are You Still There?

It looks like you haven't heard from me in awhile. I've been struggling with some internal things; personal things, work things, friends things, family things, self-love things, inspiration things, freelance things, maybe baby things, existential things...  I could go on about the amount of stress I'm under. A lot has happened this year already and I just needed to take a step back and reflect.

Early April, Mr. Livingston and I took a much needed, week-long break and road-tripped to Seattle. It was really nice to have a change of scenery, to not have to be attached to anything. The drive to Washington was long: 20+ hours! We had a lot of podcasts to listen to (S-Town!). We also listened to each other - reconnected in a way. We both get so caught up in our own worlds and routines that we sometimes just forget to just be Nick & Chinda.

The weather in the PNW was my kind of weather - rainy, foggy, grey skies and below 70 degrees! Everything was so green and lush. Plus, easy access to seafood<3. Although, we didn't get to spend too long in beautiful Seattle, we made the most of it.

We did celebrate a lot recently:

• Cambodian New Year, Year of the Rooster

• Our first wedding anniversary

• Our 9th anniversary as a couple

• Moving into a bigger apartment (I get my own room!)

• Opportunities at work

I do get caught up in things that bring me down and forget to look on the positive side, but I'm working on it.
